My top 5 hangouts in South Florida

1.  funky buddahLocation: 1201 NE 38th St, Oakland Park, FL 33334

First on my list of things to do in South Florida would definitely have to be Funky Buddah Brewery! With the craft beer market booming, this is definitely a spot you wouldn’t want to miss out on.  I describe their beer as somewhat of a magic trick…the way they layer the flavors in their beer is just mind blowing!  One of their popular brews would have to be the PB&J.  When I tell you it tastes just like that peanut butter and jelly sandwich your mom used to make you, I’m not joking. So for all you self proclaimed beernoisseur’s out there, make your way over, and give your taste buds a treat!

2.  AndiamosLocation: 5600 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33137

Now I’d be a crazy person if I left out my main food group…PIZZA! Whether you’re grabbing some lunch with a friend, on a little date or in the mood for a late night snack, Andiamo Pizza is the place to go and get your gourmet pizza fix.  With the outdoor seating, and the music in the distance from News Lounge, all you have left to do is enjoy a pie with your favorite toppings!  There really is not much else to say except I don’t understand why you’re not already on your way to try it out…I’m already half way there typing the rest of this as I drive! Not really though, cause I’m a safe driver who doesn’t text and drive.  But seriously though, if you’re in the area, I don’t understand what you’re waiting for…GO!

3.  better days miamiLocation: 75 SE 6th St, Miami, FL 33131

I recently discovered this spot not to long ago, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The staff is more than friendly, the drinks are great but my favorite part is the ambiance! Better Days can sneak past you if you’re not paying attention, it is a little hidden, but once you see the dead flamingo, you know you’ve found the spot.  As you walk in it seems as though you walked into a 70’s style thrift shop with a bar in the middle.  Dim lighting, neon signs, and Bruce Lee movies playing in the background give this watering hole the perfect ambiance for anyone on a date, or with friends just looking to have a good time.  So go…have a few, enjoy the atmosphere, and never drink and drive! Just Uber…or Lyft, Miami taxi drivers will love you forever! They probably won’t like that I said that, but I got a better chance of my Uber or Lyft driver showing up with a puppy than them, so I’ll take my chances!

4.  the butcher shopLocation: 165 NW 23rd St, Miami, FL 33127

Now, staying relatively close by, my next pick is down in the ever so popular part of Miami, Wynwood!  Now if you have not made your way to Wynwood when visiting Miami, you’re missing out on the amazing graffiti wonderland that it is…and if you happen to live in Miami, and have not been to Wynwood, well I’d actually be at a lose for words to be honest…so just, go.  Now while you’re there, you have to check out The Butcher Shop! The ambiance there is quite unique, with pretty lighting, nice big tables for everyone to enjoy, and of course a great big deli! Now I haven’t mentioned this to anyone before, but if I ever pursue a boxing career, I know where I can go to practice…EY YO ADRIAAAAN! Anyway, where was I…oh right, as I was saying, they have a great assortment of beer, awesome tunes, and a very unique atmosphere to enjoy some good company. So go and have some fun!

5.  bull marketLocation: 210 SW 2nd St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301

Last but not least is one of my favorite spots in Ft. Lauderdale, Bull Market.  Nestled in on Himarshee street, you’ll find this awesome Gastrobar! From food to drinks, I promise you, you will not be disappointed.  Find yourself there on a Tuesday, and they feature $5 burger and fries, $5 Titos and $5 Bacardi! I mean anywhere that I can get a burger cheaper than fast food, I’m there.  Now if you’re stuck on a Saturday or Sunday trying to figure out where to go and grab some brunch…look no further.  If you’re like me and would one day like to jump into a pool of Nutella, you need to go and try their Nutella french toast.  You won’t be disappointed!
